Denna väna (kvinna) RUT som inget hellre vill än komma hem till oss och städa, laga mat, tvätta och bara ta hand om det vi yrkesverksamma(andra kvinnor) inte orkar eller hinner göra. Nu, så här i väntan på valet, blossar pigdebatten åter upp och görs till en avgörande fråga.
Jag, å andra sidan, funderar inte så mycket på om det är rätt eller fel, utan jag funderar på orsaken till att den här debatten ens uppstår. Inte ens partimedlemmarna i de olika partierna verkar vara överens om det är rätt eller fel att ha hemhjälp och få göra avdrag för det. Själv ser jag det kanske inte som ett framsteg mot ett mer jämställt samhälle utan snarare ett kliv bakåt och i riktning mot större klasskillnader (igen).
Några i debatten anser att det är väl helt riktigt och att detta tillfälle skapar fler arbetstillfällen för våra arbetslösa (kvinnor). Eller som en annan mycket klok kvinna sa; det är en väg ut ur kvnnornas utbrändhet, där vi tillåts vila efter att ha arbetat en hel dag och slipper ta hand om tvätt, matlagning, handling och städning också.
Visst är det så, men ligger inte problemet någon annanstans? Ligger problemet snarare inte i att vi inte har kommit längre än så? Att det är kvinnorna som ska arbeta heltid, handla mat, städa och tvätta? Medan mannen, som också arbetar heltid, ska komma hem till ett dukat bord och till ett magiskt skåp som alltid är fyllt med rena, välstrukna kläder, väl ihopparade strumpor och fint vikta kalsonger? Fast vi är sååå jämställda i vårt svenska jämställdhetsparadis. Och männen kommer undan med det, med vår (vi kvinnor) tillåtelse!
Tar vi debatten ytterligare ett steg längre så vem är RUT som kommer och städar hemma hos mig? Jo, kanske är det en fembarnsmamma som städar, tvättar mm hos andra på heltid och sedan ska hem och ta hand om familjen och göra samma sak. Jag vill inte bidra till att vårt jämställda samhälle går bakåt, i sådant fall vill jag att en man ska städa hos mig och laga min mat för att sdan gå hem och tvätta och städa hemma hos sin familj! Jag vill inte bidra till att förstärka ett genustänk som jag inte ställer upp på själv och som vi i skolan arbetar aktivt med att synliggöra hos våra elever för att verka för ett mer jämställt samhälle. Ett samhälle där du lönesätts utifrån dina meriter, inte utifrån könstillhörighet eller klasstillhörighet...
Som Alva Myrdahl en gång sa om förskolelärarinnor: "de är av särkilt vän och omhuldande natur" därför passade kvinnan så bra som bla förskollärare. Ett kvinnodominerande yrke, som idag inte ger en bra lön trots universitetsstudier.. Hörde på radion att svenska lärare tjänar sämst i Europa enligt en schweizisk undersökning. Samtidigt hörde jag att de som gör RUT-avdrag är 3 procent av de skattebetalande svenskarna. Dvs de resterande 97 procenten subventionerar deras hemhjälp.
Jag är för städhjälp, men då ska jag betala den själv och inte på bekostnad av de som inte har råd.

Får vem som helst bli professor?
Här pratas det om människor med "knaper utbildning"som inte kan rendera något till samhället pga sin okompetens... Vad har hans utbildning gett honom? Var finns intelligensen här? Var finns värdegrunden och solidariteten? Vem ska ta hand om honom på ålders höst? Vi skattebetalare????

Björklunds senaste utspel
Så ska då lågstadieläraren återinföras. Läs- och skrivinlärning skall åter få en betydande del i utbildningen: toppen säger jag! Men resten, att få "översiktliga" kunskaper inom 11 ämnen, hur bra är de? Gick vi inte ifrån det systemet en gåg i tiden för att det inte upplevdes som positivt?
Hur bra skulle det vara om en minister hade hand om 11 områden inom politiken? T e x kan ju björklund inte bara ha hand om utbildning utan även socialministeriet, kultur-, jordbruks-, näringslivs-, justitie-, arbetsmarknad-, utrikes-, bistånds-, integrations och jämställdhets-, handels- och industriministeriet! Tänk, så mycket skattemedel vi skulle spara som istället kan läggas på skola, vård och omsorg. Skolan har ju trots allt hand om Sveriges framtid och då måste vi ha väl utbildade lärare med djupa ämneskunskaper inom de ämnen de undervisar i. Vi måste få fram en utbildning som ger oss både fördjupade ämneskunskaper och en organisation inom skolan som ger eleverna både tryggheten av att inte ha för många lärare och goda ämneskunskaper genom samarbete och utveckling! Därför är det viktigt att det satsas på lärare genom kompetensutveckling och ständig uppdatering av sådant som sker i samhället. En bättre samverkan mellan näringsliv, skola och samhälle. Detta sker bara genom satsning på barn och ungdomar, inte genom att ständigt skära ned inom skolans verksamhet.
Lärare leder barn/ungdomar mot framtiden - det bör också utbildningsministern göra som är den som är vald av folket att förbättra skolan!

Nu är det dags för oss alla att sätta ner foten. Inga fler nedskärningar inom skola och omsorg. Barnen och ungdomarna är vår framtid! Det är vi som ska ge dem det de behöver för att den framtiden ska vara fylld av möjligheter, inte hinder. Låt oss ge dem det de behöver genom en god utbildning av hög kvalité. Låt inte barnen betala krisen!

Efter 25 år som fackligt engagerad med livet som insats
Efter att ha deltagit i Genéveskolan 2009 och då 2010 har gjort sitt intåg så brukar jag alltid göra en summering av mina upplevelser. Medan jag satt där och gick igenom foton tagna under ILOkonferensen så kom jag att undra över hur det har gått för denna otroligt engagerade man: Jan Sithole. I Times of Swaziland den 12 oktober 2009 kunde man läsa följande (läs också kommentarerna längst ner som intygar hans långa engagemang!):

MATSAPHA – After leading the Swaziland Federation of Trade Unions (SFTU) for 25 years, Jan Sithole yesterday stepped down as Secretary General of the country’s union mother-body.
However, he continues to be a member of the organisation he has helped build since 1984.
Sithole has been replaced by Mduduzi Gina, who beat former Deputy Secretary General Archie Sayed by a landslide margin after tense moments of a voting process conducted through a secret ballot.
The elections, which were monitored by the Council of Swaziland Churches, took place on the third and final day of the 7th SFTU Delegates Congress held at Esibayeni Lodge and attended by 13 affiliates of the organisation.
During the elections, Gina and Sayed were the only persons nominated for the Secretary General’s position, while Sithole did not stand.
After the voting process had been concluded, the auditorium erupted into song and dance as Gina was announced winner with 70 votes against Sayed’s paltry 30.
Acknowledged
Gina, in his maiden speech as Secretary General, acknowledged the role played by his predecessor and appealed to the over 100 delegates for protection of the organisation’s integrity.
“The debates and interrogations witnessed here since the congress began on Friday were a sign that all of you have the best interests of the federation at heart,” Gina said.
He told the delegates that the continued existence of the organisation lay squarely on their shoulders and not his sole responsibility.
“I grew up within the structures of unionism as I joined the workers struggle, while still a young man. I’ve always been a dedicated activist and shall continue to safeguard the interests of the federation,” the new Secretary General said.
In an interview with Sithole, the outgoing leader said Gina was one of the brilliant emerging leaders of the SFTU and assured everyone that “the organisation is in the right hands”.
Serving
Gina has been serving as Second Deputy Secretary of the SFTU for the past four years and has been Secretary General of the Swaziland Processing Refining and Allied Workers Union (SPRAWU).
He is also the Swaziland National Provident Fund’s current Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Extra-ordinary Congress for SFTU coming
MATSAPHA – The Swaziland Federation of Trade Unions will hold an extra-ordinary congress in the next few months.
This was one of the resolutions taken at the end of the organisation’s 7th Delegates Congress yesterday afternoon.
The newly-elected national executive committee of the organisation has been given this congress as its first assignment.
“We need to prepare for the extra-ordinary congress and the new executive committee has to start preparations for the event as soon as possible,” new president Barnes Dlamini said.
Dlamini reminded the new committee that leadership was a sacrifice and there was a lot of sacrificing that they had to do.
The agenda, date and other logistics of the congress could not be divulged by the president.
Barnes is new SFTU president
MATSAPHA – Barnes Dlamini was yesterday elected new president of the Swaziland Federation of Trade Unions.
Dlamini takes over from Simon Shongwe who reportedly withdrew from the race after numerous consultations and lobbying.
Dlamini and Shongwe were the only persons who had shown interest in the position.
“Shongwe wanted to retain his position and at the beginning of the congress he had indicated that he would stand for the elections. However, he withdrew at the last minute, thereby handing unopposed victory to Barnes,” a source within the National Executive said.
Barnes had served as Deputy President in the previous National Executive and was also at the forefront of the Swaziland United Democratic Front (SUDF).

Dear Jan... Greetings from Canada ! I have fond memories of you as a student at Mankayane. I have followed your career from a distance. In 2000 we visited Swaziland and connected with a few former students but were unable to locate you. I recall your enthusiasm for drama and table tennis. I trust you continue to follow the God First motto of good old Mamkayane High. An "old"Tishela Frank Berry

Thanks Jan, you have made your mark since coming from your youthful years at Mankayane High School in the 70's. You played your role very well and it was time to let go and a young blood come in. Hope you guys will help the workers realize that they are the owners of the economy not the Royals. The workers mustn't be exploited by either the capitalist or the Royals. It's bad taste when few enjoy 2/3 of the economy at the expense of the majority!! Phambili ngo'Mkhonto wekulwa neyi mbungulu nama gundane!! As COSATU here in Gauteng we are behind your struggle 110%.
